There was a rich man named Ah Fu, who loved money very much.
One day, he sold all his possessions and exchanged them for gold bars.
In order not to let others know, he secretly buried the gold bars in a secret place.
Every day, he would go to see his treasure.
A shepherd named Da Yong grazed sheep nearby. He noticed Ah Fu's behavior and learned about the secret.
So, after Ah Fu left, Da Yong dug up the gold bars and took them away.
When Ah Fu came back to the hiding place again, he found that the gold bars were gone. He was very sad and burst into tears.
A wise man passing by saw him so miserable and asked him what had happened.
Ah Fu told him the whole story.
After listening, the wise man said to Ah Fu, "My friend, don't be sad anymore. Although you bought that gold with your money, you never really used it. Pick up a stone and pretend it is a gold bar. Put it in the hole. As long as you believe it is gold in your heart, you will be happy. It is no different from owning real gold. In my opinion, when you had the gold before, you didn't use it either."
This story tells us that if we do not use our possessions, it is as if we do not have them.
