There was a man named Li Ming who kept some roosters at home.
One day, he saw a domesticated pheasant at the market and bought it to take back home, where he put it together with the roosters.
At first, the roosters all chased and pecked at the pheasant.
The pheasant thought it was because it was new, so it got bullied.
But after a while, it noticed that these roosters also fought with each other, even getting bloody heads but still refusing to stop.
Seeing this, the pheasant thought to itself, "So they can't even tolerate each other. No wonder I'm being bullied by them."
This story tells us that if smart people see their neighbors and family members not tolerating each other, then it's normal for them not to get tolerance from these people either.
