One day, Aesop, who was a great storyteller, came to a place where ships were being built.
Some of the shipbuilders wanted to tease him and played a joke on him.
Aesop told an old story: Long ago, the world was full of water and chaos, but Zeus wanted land to appear.
So he asked Earth to drink the sea water three times.
When Earth drank the sea water for the first time, mountains magically appeared.
When he drank it for the second time, a vast plain stretched out before people's eyes.
Then, Aesop continued, 'If Earth drinks for the third time, your shipbuilding skills will be useless.'
This story teaches us that if you mock someone smarter than you, you might end up feeling embarrassed yourself.
