有一天，公鸡和驴子生活在一起。
他们快乐地过着日子，直到一只饥饿的狮子出现。
这只狮子想要吃掉驴子，但是每当他靠近的时候，公鸡就会大声叫起来。
狮子非常害怕公鸡的叫声，每次听到都会立刻逃跑。
驴子看到狮子连公鸡的叫声都害怕，心里想：“原来狮子并没有那么强大嘛！”
于是，他决定去追赶狮子，展示自己的勇敢。
驴子跑得越来越远，公鸡的叫声也渐渐听不见了。
就在这个时候，狮子突然转过身来，一口就把驴子咬死了。
驴子在临死前深深地叹了一口气，他说：“我真是太不幸了！我真是太愚蠢了！我明明知道自己不是狮子的对手，为什么还要去挑战它呢？”
这个故事告诉我们一个道理：我们不能轻视敌人，要清楚自己有多少能力，不要在强大的对手面前逞能。
每个人都有自己的优点和缺点，我们应该了解并接受它们，而不是盲目地挑战超出自己能力的事情。
