Long, long ago, there was a man named Zhuge Liang. He used to be an ordinary farmer, tending his land in Longzhong, Nanyang.
The world was in chaos back then, and all he wished for was to live safely, without seeking any honor or status.
One day, a king named Liu Bei came to his thatched hut.
Liu Bei did not look down on Zhuge Liang just because he was a commoner. Instead, he humbled himself and visited him three times, hoping to hear his views on the world's affairs.
This deeply moved and grateful Zhuge Liang, so he decided to help Liu Bei and offer him strategies.
This is how the idiom 'Three Visits to the Thatched Hut' came about.
It teaches us that no matter what one's status is, as long as they are talented, we should respect them and sincerely invite them to join our team.
Later, this story spread widely and became an important part of our Chinese culture.
It reminds us that everyone has their own value, and we should cherish everyone's talent, giving them the opportunity to shine.
