At a gathering of beasts, the monkey danced, capturing everyone's attention.
His dance was so beautiful that all the animals applauded him and unanimously elected him as their new king.
However, this news made the cunning fox jealous to the point of madness.
He had been looking for an opportunity to ruin the monkey's reputation.
One day, he found a trap with a piece of meat inside.
The fox hatched a plan. He found the monkey and told him he had discovered a treasure, but he dared not touch it because it belonged to the king.
He persuaded the monkey to retrieve the treasure himself.
Blinded by the fox's flattery, the monkey ran over without thinking and was caught in the trap.
He screamed in pain, accusing the fox of setting him up.
But the fox just sneered and said, "Monkey, you were so easily fooled. Do you still want to be our king?"
This story teaches us a lesson: don't believe others' words easily or make decisions rashly.
Otherwise, it may bring misfortune upon ourselves and be laughed at by others.
We should learn to think and use wisdom to protect ourselves, becoming wise people.
