In a beautiful forest, there stood a tall oak tree and a lush patch of reeds.
They often argued about who was stronger and more enduring.
One day, the oak tree proudly said to the reeds, "Look how strong I am. My roots are deeply embedded in the soil. No matter how strong the wind is, it cannot blow me down."
The reeds did not reply, but simply listened quietly.
After a while, a fierce gust of wind blew over.
The reeds saw the wind coming and bent down, swaying with the wind so as not to be uprooted.
But the oak tree stood firm against the wind and tried its best to resist, only to be uprooted in the end.
Seeing this, the reeds gently swayed, as if telling the oak tree, "Sometimes, we don't need to fight against those who are stronger than us. It may be more beneficial for ourselves."
This story teaches us that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
We should learn to be humble and not always show off our strength and endurance.
At the same time, we should learn to adapt to our environment and deal with difficulties flexibly. Only then can we better protect ourselves.
