Once upon a time, there was an old lion named Reno.
He was old and his strength was not as great as it used to be. He could no longer easily snatch food.
So, Reno came up with a clever plan.
He crawled into a cave and lay on the ground pretending to be sick, waiting for other small animals to come over to check on him, then he would catch them and eat them.
Many innocent small animals were deceived by Reno and went into the cave to visit him, only to become his meal.
However, a fox named Susan saw through Reno's trick.
She stood outside the entrance of the cave and asked Reno from afar how he was feeling.
Reno replied, 'I'm feeling very unwell.'
He then asked Susan why she didn't come in to see him.
Susan cleverly replied, 'If I hadn't noticed that there were only footprints going in and none coming out, I might have come in.'
This story teaches us that smart people can often foresee danger based on signs and avoid misfortune.
We should be like Susan, observant and thoughtful, so that we can stay safe in the face of difficulties in life.
