Deep in the forest lived a little deer named Arno.
One day, hunters came to the forest carrying sharp arrows and scopes, hoping to catch some prey.
Arno heard the sound of the hunters and he was scared. He ran to hide under a lush grapevine.
The hunters passed by without noticing Arno.
Arno thought he was safe and relaxed. He started munching on the leaves of the grapevine.
The sound of the leaves being bitten echoed through the forest, reaching the hunters' ears.
They immediately turned back, suspecting an animal hiding under the leaves.
They pulled their bows and shot an arrow that hit Arno's heart.
Arno fell to the ground, realizing he was about to die.
With his last breath, he said, 'I was foolish. I should not have hurt the grapevine that saved me.'
Then, he closed his eyes.
This story teaches us that we must not repay kindness with harm, or else we will be punished.
We should be grateful for those who have helped us, instead of hurting them.
