There was an old farmer who had always lived in the countryside and had never been to the city.
He really wanted to see what the city looked like, so he asked his family to take him there.
His family let him sit on a cart pulled by two donkeys and told him, "Just drive the donkeys and they will take you to the city."
The old man sat on the cart, looking at the scenery around him, feeling very curious.
As he walked, suddenly a storm came up, with darkness all around.
The donkeys got lost and didn't know which way to go.
Finally, they came to the edge of a cliff.
The old man saw this scene and was very afraid.
He thought he might fall off and die in the storm.
He shouted to the sky, "Zeus! Have I offended you? Do you want to punish me to die and not let me die under the glorious horse or noble mule, but let me die under the little donkey!"
However, at that moment, a miracle happened.
The donkeys stopped and no longer went forward.
They seemed to feel the danger and began to back away slowly.
The old man also felt this, he held onto the cart handle tightly and dared not move.
In the end, the donkeys successfully brought the old man back to safety.
The old man felt very fortunate, he thanked God for helping him through this crisis.
He also expressed gratitude to the donkeys, he knew it was the donkeys that saved his life.
This story tells us that even the most insignificant little animals have their value.
We should respect every life and not look down on any creature.
At the same time, we should also learn to be grateful and express our thanks to those who help us or things.
