从前，有一个贫穷的老太婆，她养了一只羊。
每到剪羊毛的季节，她都会自己动手剪羊毛，因为这样可以省下雇人的钱。
可是，老太婆并不擅长剪羊毛。
她总是不小心把羊毛连同羊的肉一起剪下来，让羊感到非常疼痛。
那只羊忍痛挣扎着说：“主人，你为什么要这样伤害我呢？我的血和肉能增加多少羊毛重量呀？如果要我的肉，屠夫立刻就能杀死我；如果要我的毛，剪毛匠会很好地剪下我的毛，而不使我痛苦。”
这个故事告诉我们，有时候，我们为了省钱而自己做事情，结果可能会做得不好，反而造成更大的损失。
就像老太婆一样，虽然她省下了雇人的钱，但是她的羊却因此受到了很大的伤害。
所以，我们在做事情的时候，应该考虑到所有的因素，才能做出最好的决定。

However, the old woman was not good at shearing wool.

Just like the old woman, although she saved money on hiring someone, her sheep suffered greatly because of it.
