On the beautiful banks of the Maeander River lived a group of clever foxes.
They would gather here every day to enjoy the cool river water.
One day, these foxes were very thirsty and all wanted to drink from the river.
However, the fast-flowing water made them too afraid to jump in.
Just then, a fox named Ryan mocked his companions for being cowardly.
To prove that he was braver than they were, Ryan gathered his courage and jumped into the river.
The rushing water swept Ryan away to the middle of the river.
Seeing this, the foxes on the riverbank were stunned.
They quickly shouted to Ryan, "Ryan, please don't leave us! Come back and tell us where we can safely drink water."
But Ryan, who had been swept away by the water, replied, "Friends, I need to deliver a letter to Miletus. When I return, I will tell you how to safely drink water."
This story teaches us that those who like to show off and boast often bring misfortune upon themselves.
So, we should be humble and cautious, and not take risks lightly.
