在很久很久以前，有一个叫做宋国的地方。
在这个国家里，有一个受到国王景公宠爱的大官，他的名字叫桓魋。
桓魋是一个非常有权有势的人，他有很多很多的钱和一个特别稀有的宝珠。
但是有一天，他犯了一个错误，只好离开宋国逃到国外去。
景公很想得到那颗罕见的宝珠，于是派人去找桓魋询问宝珠的下落。
桓魋告诉他们：“我把宝珠丢到了一个池子里。”
景公就让人把池子里的水全部排干，希望能找到宝珠。
可是，他们没有找到宝珠，还因为池子里没有水，所有的鱼都死了。
这个故事告诉我们，有时候坏事会连累到无辜的人。
后来，人们就把这个故事总结成一句话，叫做“殃及池鱼”，意思是说无故受到牵连。
In a long, long time ago, there was a place called Song Kingdom.
In this kingdom, there was an official favored by King Jinggong, his name was Huan Tui.
Huan Tui was a very powerful man with lots and lots of money and a rare pearl.
But one day, he made a mistake and had to leave Song Kingdom and flee abroad.
Jinggong really wanted that rare pearl, so he sent someone to ask Huan Tui about its whereabouts.
Huan Tui told them: "I dropped the pearl into a pond."
Jinggong then asked people to drain all the water from the pond, hoping to find the pearl.
But they didn't find the pearl, and because there was no water in the pond, all the fish died.
This story tells us that sometimes bad things can affect innocent people.
Later, people summarized this story into a phrase, called 'Affects the innocent', which means being implicated without reason.
