Once upon a time, there was a monkey named Lingling.
He lived in a tall tree and watched people busy themselves by the river every day.
One day, he saw several fishermen casting their nets into the river. Their movements were skillful and powerful.
Lingling was fascinated.
The fishermen pulled up their nets and went to have lunch.
When Lingling saw them leave, he thought to himself, "I want to try fishing too!"
So, he slid down from the tree and picked up the net left behind by the fishermen.
But when Lingling picked up the net, he found himself trapped in it!
He struggled to free himself, but the net only tightened around him.
Lingling felt scared. He thought he would drown.
Just then, a kind farmer passed by and saw Lingling trapped.
He quickly ran over and helped Lingling untangle the net.
Lingling was saved. He looked gratefully at the farmer and said to himself, "I was so foolish. I didn't learn how to cast the net properly and still wanted to catch fish."
This story teaches us not to imitate others' actions easily, especially those that are not suitable for us.
We should learn and try things that suit us so that we can grow and develop better.
