商君，一个名叫公孙鞅的年轻人，出生在战国时代的卫国。

后来，秦国的国王秦孝公想找有才能的人帮助他实现自己的计划，于是公孙鞅就来到了秦国。
他通过一位叫做景的大臣见到了秦孝公，并得到了重用，成为了秦国的宰相。
公孙鞅建议秦孝公改变国家的法律，以使国家变得更强大。
秦孝公同意了这个想法，并开始实施新的法律。
新法律实行一年后，太子犯了一个错误。
根据新法律，应该惩罚太子，但由于他是未来的国王，不能受到惩罚。
所以，公孙鞅决定惩罚太子的老师公子虔和公孙贾。
新法律实行四年的时候，公子虔又犯了一个错误，被割去了鼻子。
新法律实行十年后，秦国变得非常强大，人们都非常遵守法律，社会风气非常好。
但是，公孙鞅因为执法严格，得罪了很多有权势的人。
秦孝公去世后，他的儿子秦惠公继位。
公子虔和其他人诬告公孙鞅想要造反，秦惠公派人去抓他。
公孙鞅逃到函谷关附近，想住在一个旅舍里。
但是旅舍主人告诉他，根据商君的新法律，如果没有证件，旅舍主人也会受到惩罚。
公孙鞅非常失望，他离开了秦国，逃到了魏国。
但是魏国人恨他欺骗了他们的公子卬，不愿意收留他。
他们把公孙鞅送回了秦国。
公孙鞅回到秦国后，发动了自己的封地里的军队，向北进攻郑国，希望能够找到出路。
但是秦国的军队追上了他，并在黾池杀死了他。
秦惠王还把公孙鞅五马分尸示众，说：“不要像商鞅一样图谋反叛！”
他还杀掉了公孙鞅的全家。
这就是“作法自毙”的故事，意思是一个制定法律的人因为自己触犯了法律而受到惩罚，就像他自己制造了一张网，最后把自己困住了。

After King Huiwang died, his son King Huigong succeeded him.
Prince Qian and others falsely accused Gong Sun Yang of wanting to rebel, and King Huigong sent someone to arrest him.
Gong Sun Yang fled to the area near the Hangu Pass and wanted to stay at an inn.
But the innkeeper told him that according to Shang Jun's new law, if there was no identification, the innkeeper would also be punished.
Gong Sun Yang was very disappointed and left Qin, fleeing to the state of Wei.
But the people of Wei hated him for deceiving their prince An, and they refused to shelter him.
They sent Gong Sun Yang back to Qin.
When Gong Sun Yang returned to Qin, he mobilized the army from his fiefdom and attacked the state of Zheng to the north, hoping to find a way out.
But the Qin army caught up with him and killed him at Mingchi.
King Huigong had Gong Sun Yang's body cut into five pieces and displayed them publicly, saying, "Do not plot rebellion like Shang Yang!"
He also killed Gong Sun Yang's entire family.
