Once upon a time, there was a family who had many mice in their house.
They ran around everywhere, causing the family a lot of trouble.
A cat heard about this and went to the family's house.
This cat was very clever. Whenever it saw a mouse, it would catch it, scaring all the mice away.
Before long, all the mice had hidden themselves in their holes.
This made it impossible for the cat to catch them.
But the cat was smart. It came up with a good idea.
It found a wooden stake and climbed up on it, pretending to be dead.
The mice would think that the cat was dead and come out of their holes.
Sure enough, one mouse poked its head out and saw the cat. It thought to itself, "Hmph, even if you turn into a leather bag, I won't go near you."
So the mouse went back into its hole and never came out again.
This story teaches us that clever people learn from their failures and are not fooled by appearances when they face difficulties.
So in life, we should also learn to think for ourselves and not easily believe what others say. We should have our own judgments.
