A deer named Sherry was extremely thirsty, so she quickly ran to the spring.
She drank the sweet spring water and looked at her reflection in the water. She admired her slender and beautiful antlers, feeling delighted.
But when she saw her small legs, she became unhappy again.
Just as she was lost in thought, a lion named Leo sprinted towards her.
Sherry was so frightened that she turned and ran, leaving the lion far behind.
Because the strength of a deer lies in its legs, while the strength of a lion lies in its heart.
On the vast plain, Sherry could always run ahead and save her life.
However, when she entered the forest, her beautiful antlers got caught in tree branches and she could no longer run.
As a result, she was caught by Leo, the lion who had been following her.
Before dying, Sherry said to herself, "I am so unlucky! What I disliked saved my life, but what I trusted and cherished most ended it."
This story tells us that beautiful things may not be useful, and may even cause trouble.
Ugly things, on the other hand, may prove their practical value in critical moments.
