Long, long ago, there were three great gods living in the universe. They were Zeus, Prometheus, and Athena.
One day, they decided to create everything together.
Zeus said, 'I want to create a cow.'
So he used his magical powers to create a strong cow.
Prometheus said, 'I want to create humans.'
So he used his wisdom to create human beings.
Athena said, 'I want to create a house.'
So she used her skillful hands to create a beautiful house.
Then, they invited a god named Momus to judge their works.
But actually, Momus was very jealous of them. So he deliberately found faults in their works.
He told Zeus, 'You made a mistake. You should have put the cow's eyes on its horns. Then the cow could see where it was bumping into.'
He also told Prometheus, 'You did wrong too. You shouldn't have put people's hearts inside their bodies. They should be hung outside so that everyone can see what's in their hearts, and bad people can't pretend anymore.'
Finally, he told Athena, 'You should have put wheels on the houses. If you meet bad neighbors, you can move away easily.'
Zeus got very angry when he heard these words. He knew that Momus was slandering them without reason. So he drove Momus out of Mount Olympus.
This story tells us that there is no such thing as perfect in this world.
Everything has its good points and bad points. We need to learn to accept and appreciate their strengths, while understanding their weaknesses.
