一只小鹿被猎狗追得非常急，它跑进了一个农家院子。
害怕的它混在了牛群里，希望躲起来不被发现。
一头善良的牛对小鹿说：“朋友，你这样把自己交给敌人，不是自投罗网吗？”
小鹿回答说：“只要你让我躲在这里，我就会找机会逃走的。”
到了傍晚，农夫来喂牲口，他并没有看到小鹿。
管家和工人们经过牛栏时，也没有注意到小鹿。
小鹿感到安全了，于是向那头好心的牛表示感谢。
另一头牛说：“我们虽然想保护你，但现在还不能完全放心。还有一个人会经过这里，他对一切都十分留心。只有他经过后，你的安全才有保障。”
这时，主人来了。
他一边抱怨饲料分得太少，一边走到草架旁大声说：“这是怎么回事？只有这么一点点草料？牛栏垫的草也不够一半。这些懒虫连蜘蛛网也没打扫干净。”
主人在牛栏里检查每样东西的时候，发现了露出在草料上面的小鹿角。
他叫人抓住了小鹿，并把它杀掉了。
这个故事告诉我们，在逃避一种危险时，不要忽视另一种危险。
A little deer was being chased by hunting dogs and ran into a farmer's yard.
Scared, it mixed in with the cows, hoping to hide and not be discovered.
A kind cow said to the little deer, "Friend, are you giving yourself to the enemy like this? You're walking right into their trap."
The little deer replied, "As long as you let me hide here, I will find a chance to escape."
In the evening, the farmer came to feed the animals, but he didn't see the little deer.
The steward and workers passed by the cowshed, but they didn't notice the little deer either.
Feeling safe, the little deer thanked the kind cow.
Another cow said, "Although we want to protect you, we can't completely relax yet. There is still one person who will come here and pays attention to everything. Only after he passes will your safety be guaranteed."
At that moment, the master arrived.
He complained about the small amount of feed while walking to the hay rack and said loudly, "What's going on here? There's only this much hay? The bedding in the cowshed isn't even half full. These lazy bugs haven't even cleaned up the spider webs."
When the master checked everything in the cowshed, he found the little deer's antlers sticking out of the hay.
He had the little deer caught and killed.
This story tells us that when avoiding one danger, don't ignore another.
