Once upon a time, there was a fisherman named Jack.
He cast his net into the sea, hoping to catch some fish.
Soon enough, he caught a small conger eel.
"Please let me go!"
The small conger eel begged pitifully, "I'm still too small."
The small conger eel then made a wish to Jack: "When I grow up, catch me again. It will be more beneficial for you."
But Jack shook his head and said: "If I give up this small fish now and pursue a big fish that I may not even get, won't I be a fool?"
So, Jack took the small conger eel home with him.
This story teaches us that sometimes, people give up small benefits in front of them because of greed and chase after uncertain big benefits, which is very foolish.
We should cherish what we have already obtained and not give up easily.
