春秋时代，有一个小国叫郑国。
为了不让楚国来攻打自己，郑国和晋国成了好朋友。
可是第二年，楚国还是派兵去打郑国。
晋国听说后，就按照约定派出士兵去帮助郑国。
这时，晋国的元帅栾书还想去占领另一个国家蔡国。
楚国知道了这个消息，也准备派兵去救蔡国。
在晋国的军队里，有两个将领叫赵同和赵括，他们建议元帅栾书去进攻楚国。
就在栾书要下令的时候，知庄子、范文子、韩献子三个人对他说：“我们是来帮郑国的，现在郑国已经安全了。如果我们不去退兵，反而去打蔡国，这是不对的。而且，如果真的跟楚国打起来，我们可能赢不了。就算赢了，也不会是一件光荣的事情。所以我们应该撤兵。”
栾书觉得他们说得有道理，于是下令退兵。
后来，晋国的军队抓住了沉国的国王揖初，并且在其他的战争中都取得了胜利。
这一切都因为栾书愿意听从部下的好意见。
这件事让一个君子评论说：“听从好的意见是最适合的行为。”
这就是“从善如流”这个成语的由来。
它用来形容一个人乐于接受别人好的意见或劝导。

At this time, the general of Jin, Luan Shu, also wanted to occupy another country, Cai.
Chu learned about this news and prepared to send troops to rescue Cai.
In Jin's army, there were two commanders named Zhao Tong and Zhao Kuo, who suggested that General Luan Shu attack Chu.
Just as Luan Shu was about to give the order, Zhi Zhuangzi, Fan Wenzizi, and Han Xianzi told him, "We came here to help Zheng. Now Zheng is safe. If we don't withdraw our troops but instead attack Cai, it would be wrong. Moreover, if we really fight with Chu, we may not win. Even if we win, it won't be an honorable thing. So we should withdraw our troops."
Luan Shu thought they made sense and ordered the withdrawal of troops.
Later, Jin's army captured the king of Shen, Yi Chu, and achieved victories in other battles.
All of this was because Luan Shu was willing to listen to his subordinates' good advice.
This made a gentleman comment, "Listening to good advice is the most appropriate behavior."
This is the origin of the idiom 'following the good like a river'.
It describes a person who is happy to accept others' good advice or persuasion.
