There was a farmer named Li Ming, whose sons were always fighting with each other.
He had advised them many times to get along, but his words seemed to have no effect.
One day, Li Ming thought of a way to teach his sons a lesson.
He asked them to bring a bundle of sticks.
When the sticks were brought, he first gave them the whole bundle and asked them to break it.
But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't break the bundle.
Then, Li Ming untied the bundle and gave each of them a stick.
They all broke their sticks into two pieces without any effort.
At this point, Li Ming said to them, "My sons, you see, if you are united and work together like this bundle of sticks, you cannot be defeated. But if you fight with each other like these separated sticks, you can easily be defeated by your enemies."
From then on, Li Ming's sons understood the power of unity and stopped quarreling. They helped each other and worked together.
This story teaches us that unity is an unconquerable force, while internal strife can only weaken ourselves.
So, we should learn to get along with others and unite as one to become stronger.
